Accounting Specialist

JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

The role of the Accounting Specialist is responsible for facilitating and performing a variety of complex accounting functions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General accounting
  • Accounts receivable
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll
  • Reporting
  • Bank reconciliations on a periodic basis
  • Maintaining all administrative activities of the accounting department
  • Interacting with banks and vendors to resolve reconciliation problems, and performing all Other responsibilities as directed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains logs and ledgers to facilitate period close
  • Assists the management team in preparing financial reports, records, and bills for the Corporate office
  • Facilitates accounts receivable functions such as preparing daily cash and sales envelopes, creating and distributing over/short notices, and auditing daily vouchers and voids
  • Facilitates accounts payable functions such as checking and processing invoices, and researching discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Acts as the local expert in all areas of cash handling
  • Conducts department cash audits and tracks cashier audits and blind drop audits
  • Evaluate reports and audits
  • Utilizes exception based reporting tools to identify control deficiencies and enacts procedures to minimize losses

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Client & People or similar systems
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

Associate Account Executive

JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

Senior Public Relations Account Executive

JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

The Senior Public Relations Account Executive is instrumental in driving the growth of clients’ business through the implementation of impactful public relations strategies and the application of extensive expertise in the field.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing strategic public relations plans for clients and leading implementation of resulting initiatives.
  • Serving as the primary client contact on the day-to-day development and implementation of public relations initiatives across multiple industries.
  • Managing account projections, billing, and accounts receivable status.
  • Present research-based “big ideas” to clients.
  • Successfully lead client meetings as directed.
  • Leverage existing relationships with media contacts to drive client coverage.
  • Secure a steady cadence of coverage across media categories, including national and trade outlets (may include thought leadership bylined articles), national and local broadcast, in-studio or live remote morning shows, podcasts and local press in priority markets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media contacts, including morning show producers, editors/reporters at industry trades and reporters in priority markets.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY

  • Demonstrated acumen in strategic PR planning, media research and list development, media relations, and measurement of public relations campaigns.
  • Experience using monitoring tools to track media coverage and sentiment, providing regular reports to senior management and clients.
  • Experience using PR platforms (like MuckRack) to generate and distribute tailored pitches to targeted media audiences, as well as tools like Cision newswire service to execute newswire deliverables.
  • Ability to analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing daily account needs and proactively building and maintaining positive client relationships.
