05.22.07 | American Association of Endodontists and TRANSFIRST Introduce new payment processing program for members at 2007 annual session

Members now have access to consultative expertise of one of the leading processors in the healthcare industry today

DALLAS and CHICAGO (May 22, 2007) — TRANSFIRST Health Services, Inc. a division of TRANSFIRST HOLDINGS, INC., a leading provider of credit card processing services and payment enabling technologies, and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) have successfully launched a new partnership that will provide AAE members with a member benefit program aimed at improving payment processing services at the practice level. The new services offered to the members will include standard card processing programs and products, recurring payment processing via the TRANSFIRST TRANSACTION CENTRAL™ system, plus check servicing, ACH processing, and other healthcare specific tools to increase patient payment options and potentially enhance practice cash flow.

The AAE is the recognized dental organization for endodontists, the root canal specialists. The AAE was founded in February 1943 with 76 charter members and now represents over 7,000 members worldwide. Approximately 95 percent of all U.S. endodontists are members of the AAE. The Association inspires its members to pursue professional advancement and personal fulfillment through education, research, advocacy, leadership, communication and service.

The AAE spent more than a year preparing a Request For Proposal and reviewing responses from processors who have experience in affinity programs. After an extremely thorough review of potential affinity partners, AAE chose TransFirst Health Services to serve as the endorsed merchant services member benefit provider for members in the United States and territories. John S. Olmsted, D.D.S., M.S., and AAE Immediate Past President explains the decision, "The benefit program offered by TRANSFIRST Health Services provides our members with an extremely competitive and understandable fee structure, and our members will be able to receive a thorough explanation of the pricing differences of competitors through detailed consultations with TRANSFIRST staff. The entire flow of TRANSFIRST's program will be simple for our members, as TRANSFIRST has customized their processes specifically for the healthcare industry. Overall, this will be a tremendous benefit for our members, and AAE couldn't be more pleased to partner with such an experienced and reputable company."

Christy Corey, President of TRANSFIRST's Health Services division explains, "TRANSFIRST's proven expertise in servicing the needs of the dental profession makes us an excellent partner for the AAE as well as each of their members. The AAE members that engage TRANSFIRST Health Services for consultation, product assistance, payment processing strategy, and eventual merchant processing contracts will be met with the exclusive expertise that comes from years of full-service experience with thousands of practices just like theirs." Corey adds, "Since 2001, one of our primary focuses has been creating, implementing and servicing programs designed for dental professionals throughout the U.S. AAE Annual Session member feedback indicates members are anxious to receive this type of consultation and service and we are thrilled to be the selected partner for this highly specialized association."
